Recent months have kick started an acquisition spree of mobile advertising companies, including:

IQZone is a mobile classifieds solution with a niche that could become an area of interest for the giants. They solve the following pains in placing online classifieds:

  1. take a picture using a digital camera of the item you want to sell,
  2. transfer the pictures to a PC, resize and adjust them as required,
  3. manually upload to the Internet and complete a description,
  4. repeat step 3 for each classified directory you want (e.g. CraigsList, Yahoo!), and
  5. to search listing for like products you need to visit each classified website of interest.

IQZone simplifies this by letting you do all of this from your phone. Here is how it works:

  1. take a picture, add to a MMS message together with a text description,
  2. click send, IQZone automatically publishes the picture and description to a number of classified directories on the Internet, and
  3. finally, you can search for other listings by simply sending a text message.

You can take a look at their video demonstration here.

While you will probaby still search classifieds via a PC, IQZone makes it easier to add new items into the classifieds as only a phone is required. As more camera phones cross the 2 megapixel mark, the quality of the pictures will also be adequate.

This product could provide a new spin on selling small items realtime on Ebay - many of which you would not want to invest the time with in using a camera and uploading pictures from a PC.
